2015 Razzie Awards Winners: Kirk Cameron’s ‘Saving Christmas’ Sweeps
  |  @   |

As we wait to find out tonight who will be the winners at the Academy Awards, which celebrates the best in film, the Golden Raspberry Awards — which spotlights the very worst in film — were held last night, February 21, 2015, at The Montalban theater in Hollywood, CA.

Tying for the lead with 6 Razzie Awards nods each were Transformers: Age of Extinction, the third Michael Bay sequel in the blockbuster franchise, and Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas, the “put Christ back in Christmas” comedy. Guess which movie took home the most awards for the best of the worst? That’s right, Kirk Cameron swept the Razzies with 4 wins.

See here below for the complete list of 2015 Golden Raspberry Awards “Winners.”

Big name stars like Mark Wahlberg, Nicolas Cage, Adam Sandler, Cameron Diaz, and Charlize Theron were all up for Worst acting awards this year, as were Any Two Robots from Age Of Extinction for Worst Screen Combo — and even they lost to Kirk Cameron.

Of note this year was the “Redeemer Award,” given out to a past nominee who’s redeemed themselves with quality acting this year. We’re happy to see Ben Affleck, who earned a Razzie for Gigli, redeemed this year for his work in Argo and Gone Girl.

While most celebrities understandable do not attend the annual ceremony, held on Oscar Eve, there have been times where they did, such as when Academy Award-winning Halle Berry famously picked up her Worst Actress Razzie for her role in 2004’s Catwoman. Looks like no one showed up to get their award this year.
