Stephen Amell Fulfills Goal To Be On ‘Late Night With Seth Meyers’
  |  @   |

Arrow star Stephen Amell walked onto the Late Night with Seth Myers set this week to extra piercing studio audience screams, fulfilling one of his goals of 2015. Host Seth Meyers commented on this unique situation because Amell had posted on social media in early January that he wanted to be on the show, and then Meyers’ “Twitter feed blew up.” A few days later the Meyers people called the Amell people, bringing them to the present. Meyers called it a “full hostage situation.”

Watch the video here below of Amell’s recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

They went even further back, with Amell recalling the first time they met, which coincided with a “night that was rife with missteps.” You should hear it from his own mouth (with Meyers helpful quips), but let me tell you it starts with him sitting by himself at a table with the cast of The Big Bang Theory. Funny Meyers chimes in, “Hey! Nine nerds! There’s a super handsome dude in a superhero show!” Amell had gone up to Meyers, “To tell you that my dream was to someday host Saturday Night Live.” Audience screams. “They approve.”

Meyers (to audience): “Here’s the thing. Lorne’s not on Twitter, so what’s your move now?”

The story ends with Mandy Patankin. I’ll wait here while you scramble to press play.

Later on in the show, Amell talks terrified about his daughter being a girly-girl who looks exactly like Jude Law, and his Order of Canada pin.

You can catch Arrow on Wednesday nights at 8pm ET on The CW.

Here’s some behind-the-scenes photos Amell posted to his Facebook page:

He missed Bill Clinton and he was a stranger at his all Big Bang Theory table.
