‘Arrow’ & ‘Flash’ Spinoff Brewing At The CW With Brandon Routh & more!
  |  @   |

So what The CW is telling me is that I have to quit my day job and become a professional television viewer, because they are once again planning on giving me an awesome Arrow spinoff. Ok, Arrow to The Flash to Atom (?) spinoff.

Deadline reports that a potential new series would team Arrow stars Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom and Caity Lotz with The Flash stars Victor Garber as Martin Stein and Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold. Also hinted are three new DC characters not yet seen in the ever-expanding DC television superhero world. There is no title yet for the series, which is in development and is rumored to be a mid-season replacement next year.

Both Arrow and The Flash air again mid-march and an Arrow/Flash crossover, “All-Star Team-Up,” will have Brandon Routh and Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity) headed to Central City to help the team at S.T.A.R Labs.

Arrow executive producers and creators, Mark Guggenheim, along with Greg Berlanti, and Andrew Kreisberg will head the project. They are also on the team developing Supergirl for CBS, also with Sarah Schechter.

Check out the tweet by Caity Lotz:

What is not clear is what role Caity Lotz will play.

Spoilers for Arrow:

Lotz’s character Sara Lance aka The Black Canary was killed off early in the season on Arrow causing her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) to pick up The Canary mantle. Will she be a flashback character, a very popular technique on both The Flash and Arrow? Will she play someone or something else entirely? Or will they somehow bring her back?

Also unclear is why Victor Garber is missing his other Firestorm half, Robbie Amell. Let’s hope it’s just a contract negotiation thing with Amell, and that he will soon announced.
