“My mother…shudder…is marrying Charles’s dad…toilet emoji.” Classic Gina (Chelsea Peretti).

Brooklyn Nine-Nine 2.17 “Boyle-Linetti Wedding delivers once again, squeezing laughs out of every possible second. Charles (Joe LoTruglio) and Gina will now be step-brother and step-sister, as her mom (Sandra Bernhard) and his dad (Stephen Root) are finally tying the knot. I could end the review right there, but they also manage to put a fresh twist on the classic comedic plot, the-wedding-needs-to-be-perfect-so-everything-almost-goes-wrong!

Chelsea Peretti, as the focus of the episode, puts her and her one-liners in the spotlight, as her insults-as-compliments are one of the best things about the show.

The rest of the characters have their moments as well. Jake (Andy Samberg) is pining over a school crush, and is in charge of the ring (of course he is). Santiago (Melissa Fumero) drags Jake to catch her nemesis while in dressy clothes. And Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) is having committment issues. She learns her lesson from an awesome Gina speech. In the meantime, Terry (Terry Crews) and the Captain (Andre Braugher) are in charge of the wedding vows.

Have I mentioned how this is one of the best comedies on television….ever?
