It’s weeks like this that make writing the latest edition of The Digital Wire DVD and Blu-ray releases news column worth the time and effort. Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release the big-screen adaptation of the smash Broadway musical sensation Into the Woods – directed by Rob Marshall with a splashy all-star cast that headlined by Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Emily Blunt, James Corden, Anna Kendrick, and Chris Pine – to Blu-ray and DVD on March 24, 2015. Presented in 1080p with DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 surround, the main feature will be complimented by the following extras:

Shout! Factory has finalized the special features for two of their upcoming Scream Factory Blu-ray releases. Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release Cameron Crowe‘s 1992 ensemble comedy-drama Singles on Blu-ray for the first time on April 7, 2015. With a cast that includes Matt Dillon and Bridget Fonda (not to mention a Tim Burton cameo), the film will be remastered in 1080p high-definition with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround and these bonus features:

Sword Fight Choreography
From the man who gave us Keoma and the original Inglorious Bastards, Enzo G. Castellari‘s gonzo post-apocalyptic Italian grindhouse action trilogy is making its way to Blu-ray from Blue Underground on June 30, 2015: 1990: The Bronx Warriors, Escape from the Bronx, and The New Barbarians will all be available in high-definition for the first time in Collector’s Edition combo packs that will also come with bonus DVD copies. Special features have yet to be finalized but will be revealed in a future installment of this column.
The third – and hopefully last – movie in the franchise that made Liam Neeson an international action star is coming home. On April 21, 2015, 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment will release Taken 3 on Blu-ray and DVD. Neeson returns as deadly former CIA agent Bryan Mills for one final adventure in the Olivier Megaton-directed sequel. The Blu-ray will include both the theatrical cut and a longer unrated cut while the DVD will only have the theatrical cut, but both editions are set to feature these new extras:

Two of the wildest and shameless comedy cult classics of the past two decades are preparing to make their debut on Blu-ray on May 12, 2015 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. First up is Orgazmo, the superhero-porno spoof from South Park/Book of Mormon masterminds Trey Parker and Matt Stone that was originally released in theaters with an NC-17 rating. The Blu-ray will contain all of the extra features from the overstuffed 2005 DVD, and boy howdy is there a lot to enjoy:
