John Stamos Goes Unrecognized By Fans At ‘Full House’ Home
  |  @   |

After far as recognizable TV homes go, the San Francisco, CA, resident of the Tanner family on Full House is up there with the best of them. Even today, 20 years after the ABC sitcom ended, fans still flock to visit the Broderick Street landmark.

Too bad some of them can’t even recognize the star of the long-running sitcom when he’s standing right in front of said house!

John Stamos, who played the heartthrob Jesse Katsopolis (aka Uncle Jesse) on Full House, stopped by the house recently, but went unrecognized by the younger visitors who were there. He posted to his Instagram account a photo of himself looking at the camera while posing in front of the 3-story house wearing a hat and sunglasses as tourists stood behind him with their backs to him.

Check out the photo here below.

The 51-year-old actor, who starred on the television series from its debut in 1987, captioned the photo “Boy, these youngsters have 0.0 idea what they’re missing. #Fullhousehouse. #TURNAROUND.”

On Full House, the Tanner family lived in one of the “Painted Ladies” homes in San Francisco’s Alamo Square, but the close-up of house — which at the time had red double front doors — that was seen in the opening credits from the early seasons was actually in a different area (on Broderick St. about a mile away). Meanwhile, the series itself was filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles, CA.

The bulk of the Full House cast reunited earlier this year to celebrate the birthday of the show’s creator Jeff Franklin. Minus twin stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen – who shared the role of baby Michelle – the cast gathered on stage to sing the family sitcom’s catchy theme song “Everywhere You Look.”

Talk of an actual on-screen reunion of Full House — a family comedy about a recently widowed father of three daughters whose brother-in-law and best friend move in with him to help him raise the children — were happening last Summer, but there’s been no news about it since, although series creator Jeff Franklin is supposedly already working on a new version. Stamos, who has ownership stake in the show, was reportedly very interested in doing a revival.

Full House starred Bob Saget as understanding dad Danny Tanner, who worked as a co-host of the Wake Up, San Francisco morning TV show, with Lori Loughlin as his eventual co-host Rebecca Donaldson, who later also became Jesse’s wife (“Aunt Becky”). Along with rocker musician brother-in-law Jesse, Danny’s best friend Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier), a struggling comedian, moves in to help raise the three young children — D.J. (Candace Cameron), Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), and Michelle (the aforementioned Olsen twins). Andrea Barber also starred as Kimmy Gibbler, Stephanie’s annoying best friend.
