‘Sons Of Anarchy’ Star Ryan Hurst Coming To ‘Bates Motel’
  |  @   |

Exciting news! Another Sons of Anarchy fave, quite possibly one of the best loved of that series, Ryan Hurst (Opie Winston, SOA), is coming to Bates Motel, the A&E Psycho prequel television series that just launched its third season yesterday.

The actor begins his 6-episode arc next Monday with Episode 3.2 “The Arcanum Club,” playing “against” type as Chick Hogan, a motorcycle shop dealer who has a little side illegal firearms business (you think he does business with Teller-Morrow Automotive Repair?). Hurst will be reunited with former SOA cast mate Kenny Johnson (Kozik, SOA) as Caleb, and according to A&E, will have a direct storyline with each other that includes Dylan (Max Thieriot).

Check out the photo of Hurst from Bates Motel and the video promo for Episode 3.2 here below.

Hurst was one of the most beloved characters on his former show. Opie Winston had nothing but tragedy, having had his wife mistakenly murdered instead of him in the first season, betrayed by his club. Then his dad had a giant hole shot through his chest. He gallantly sacrificed himself in Jax’s (Charlie Hunnam) place and smiled as he was beaten to death by prison guards.

If you have not seen the March 9th Season 3 premiere episode of Bates Motel – do not continue – spoilers!

I really hope the excellent Hurst lasts more than 6 episodes. Although poor Annika (Tracy Spiridakos)! At the end of Bates Motel Episode 3.1 “A Death in the Family,” Norman (Freddie Highmore) offers to give her a ride right after asking Emma (Olivia Cooke) to be his girlfriend. The promo below reveals she never made it back and that Norman was the last one to see her alive.

A&E’s Press Release:

Bates Motel Episode 3.1 “The Arcanum Club”

Norman and Norma fixate on Annika’s disappearance. Norma learns about what the Arcanum Club really is. Dylan and Caleb encounter a new neighbor.

This week, Chick Hogan, guest star Ryan Hurst (Sons of Anarchy), arrives in White Pine Bay. His presence will quickly complicate matters for Dylan and cause tension with Caleb.
