‘Vikings’: Athelstan’s Journal: Stones and Bones: Love (Video)
  |  @   |

Vikings gave us another webisode with everyone’s favorite conflicted priest, “Athelstan’s Journal Stones and Bones Chapter Three: Love” (say that three times fast).

Watch the video here below.

Athelstan (George Blagden): “What is it? What is the measure that will see us transcend this world?”

The Seer (John Kavanagh): “You are not ready.”

The Seer speaks of temptation, but it is not sex that will haunt him, but love. Then….spoiler?

We see Athelstan in bed with Judith (Jennie Jacques) professing his love. It could be a vision, a dream, or a scene in the next episode. Whatever THAT was, it is nonetheless inevitable. We saw Athelstan’s game when he was staring her down at the bath party in Episode 3.3 “Warrior’s Fate”. I wanted to tell him to calm down. He wasn’t resisting temptation. He was provoking it.

Speaking of The Seer, last week a very troubled Siggy (Jessalyn Gilsig) went to him because of the tragedy in the village and the arrival of The Wanderer, Kevin Durand. He saw nothing, but she told him about the dream she had foretelling his doom.

Vikings 3.4 “Scarred” airs this Thursday at 10pm on The History Channel.

Vikings: Athelstan ‘s Journal: Love

The Seer tells Athelstan that he will soon be tested by earthly pleasures far greater than those he has so far faced. Athelstan is wondering if he will have the strength resist this temptation.
