‘Vikings’ Webisode: Athelstan’s Journal: Harvest (Video)

Athelstan: “Can any man ever be truly free?”
The Seer: “There is freedom in death.”

Another new webisode in the Vikings series, titled Athelstan’s Journal: Harvest, has been released.

The harvest the Seer (John Kavanagh) speaks of is the one we reap from the life we sow. It looks like Athelstan (George Blagden) should have kept his pants on with Judith (Jennie Jacques). She reveals to her husband Aethelwulf (Moe Dunford) that she is with child. His reaction? You see him strike down the viking settlers in a fit of rage -women, children, everyone. I wonder how King Ecbert (Linus Roache) will react to that considering how hard he was crushing on Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick)?

Check out the webisode and bonus video “Roll like Rollo” below.

We saw in Vikings 3.3 “Scarred” that Athelstan gave in to his feelings and admitted his love for Judith, yet he still chose to leave with Ragnar (Travis Fimmel). I would definitely choose Ragnar over Judith, no matter what my affections were.

The “Roll Like Rollo” video is a collection of fun little Rollo (Clive Standen) wisdom tidbits. Your welcome.

VIKINGS follows the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok, an actual historical figure, and the greatest hero of his age. The series tells the gripping sagas of Ragnar’s band of Viking brothers and his family, as he rises to become King of the Viking tribes. As well as being a fearless warrior, Ragnar embodies the Norse traditions of devotion to the gods – legend has it that he was a direct descendent of Odin, the god of war and warriors.

Vikings Episode 3.5 “The Usurper” airs Thursday, March 19th at 10pm on The History Channel.

You can watch other videos in the Athelstan’s Journal series here as well.

Athelstan asks the Seer how his actions in this life will reward him in the next world. The mysterious answer the Seer provides hints at a bloody outcome in the future in this Vikings webisode.

Rollo shares valuable nuggets of warrior wisdom regarding pigs, cattle, and cleaved heads in this web exclusive.
