Disney has released the third and final trailer for The Incredibles and Mission: Impossible — Ghost Protocol director Brad Bird‘s Tomorrowland.
Written by Damon Lindelof, the film centers on a troubled teen (Britt Robertson) who shares an affinity for scientific curiosity with a curmudgeon (George Clooney).
We also have confirmation that there will be a special presentation of the film attached to all of the Avengers: Age of Ultron IMAX screenings. Hit the jump for more on that and the trailer.
Here’s the official synopsis:
From Disney comes two-time Oscar® winner Brad Bird’s “Tomorrowland,” a riveting mystery adventure starring Academy Award® winner George Clooney. Bound by a shared destiny, former boy-genius Frank (Clooney), jaded by disillusionment, and Casey (Britt Robertson), a bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity, embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space known only as “Tomorrowland.” What they must do there changes the world””and them””forever.
In the press release e-mail that was sent out to the masses, we are informed that there will be a six minute presentation, which will be introduced by director Brad Bird, screened exclusively in IMAX theaters domestically and in select international markets beginning May 1. These presentations will be attached to all Avengers: Age of Ultron screenings and will play throughout the film’s IMAX run.
As for the trailer, it pretty much plays out like any final trailer would. It is certainly the most flashy of all the trailers that we have seen, and it is perhaps the most intense, in terms of action and suspense, of the three.
Joining Clooney and Robertson, Tomorrowland also stars Hugh Laurie, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, and Thomas Robinson
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens May 1. Tomorrowland opens May 22.
