Inside Look At Fox’s ‘The Frankenstein Code’ (Video)
  |  @   |

FOX’s official 2015-2016 series lineup announced Monday, May 11th, included The Frankenstein Code, an extremely modern take on the classic monster. The announcement came with an “Inside Look” video, where executive producers Howard Gordon and Rand Ravich, and lead Rob Kazinsky (True Blood, Pacific Rim), who plays “Frankenstein” Ray Pritchard, give a little intro to the show, and a little insight into the characters.

Watch the video below.

The story is that Ray, a 75-year old man who has been murdered by crooked cops, was then genetically spliced by some genius twins, and wakes up as a hot 35-year-old with super strength, speed (not The Flash speed, but fast), and reflexes. One twin, Mary (played by Dilshad Vadsaria and… ha ha!) is dying and kinda made him for parts, I think. Ray was not the best guy before he died, and suddenly coming back to life hasn’t really changed anything. Or has it? I guess we better watch and find out!

I am very interested to see the other ties to Shelley’s story, as that will deepen the connection with the audience. The fact that it is a completely fresh take already has me waiting to tune in.

The Frankenstein Code has no exact air date as of yet, but is set to be added to the network’s lineup in 2016, along with Lucifer.

FOX’s press release:

In THE FRANKENSTEIN CODE, from executive producer/writer Rand Ravich (“Life,” “Crisis”) and executive producer Howard Gordon (“Homeland,” “24”), a disgraced, 75-year-old ex-sheriff, whose life ends at the hands of corrupt cops, is brought back to life and given a second chance by a pair of young tech scientists, as a 35-year-old (Rob Kazinsky, “True Blood”) with unpredictable near-superhuman abilities.

What would you do with a second chance? The monster in FOX’s thrilling new drama, THE FRANKENSTEIN CODE hasn’t been stitched together – he’s been genetically spliced.
