Last week on iZombie “Dead Air,” Liv’s (Rose McIver) lunch is a sex advice radio personality that gives really bad advice. The police captain is being blackmailed by Blaine (David Anders), which is how the skate park bodies ended up at another crime scene. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) really wants to date Liv’s roommate Peyton (Aly Michalka), but Liv is being jerky about it. I blame the brains. Of course, Ravi thinks he may turn into a zombie because the zombie rat bit him. Liv eats something of Lowells and has a vision of Jerome. Uh-oh!

iZombie 1.9 “Patriot Brains” review: A sniper is killed on a paintball field. The investigation doesn’t make sense at first as usual, but then the case of the day is hardly ever the focus of the show. Liv has some lunch, and plays paintball, kicking ass to a musical montage. She even wins a trophy.

Super geek guest alert! Percy Daggs III from Veronica Mars, guests as the husband of the victim’s ex-wife.

Major is working out. He thinks that maybe the reason the Candyman has brains, is as a muscle enhancement. Be careful what you wish for. He’s trying to sniff out Julian the zombie, and the confrontation is not fun for him.

Ravi is not a zombie! Yay! He then gets yelled at by Liv for not telling her of the zombie rat bite.

Lowell shows up distraught about turning a blind eye to Blaine’s brain origins (say THAT 3 times fast). Of course she forgives, consoles, and has sex with him. Have you seen him? Liv decides she has to kill Blaine to stop him from killing more kids. It’s really adorable when Lowell calls himself a wuss. Liv shouldn’t worry. Blaine just got a load of money to acquire the brain of an astronaut. The horrible memories of the kids really puts a downer on dinner. His clients want happy memories.

Really sad ending for Liv. It’s kinda her fault too. I know what happened had to happen (more on that next week), but it was still upsetting.

iZombie airs Tuesday nights at 9pm ET on The CW.
