Will Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk Be In ‘Captain America: Civil War’
  |  @   |

At this point Captain America: Civil War will be called Avengers: Civil War. The cast already consists of Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Chadick Boseman, Daniel Brühl, Paul Rudd, Martin Freeman, and William Hurt. But apparently it just wasn’t big enough.

Now, Mark Ruffalo has hinted that he’ll be joining the cast that doesn’t seem to stop growing. We still haven’t even cast Spider-Man yet, although odds are that Asa Butterfield will get the role. More on the story below.

Ruffalo indicated his excitement about the upcoming film on his personal Twitter account, and provided a link to his Tumblr account.

That link in his tweet takes you to his personal tumblr account, which had the following caption,

Welcome to the wild party! Looking forward to this amazing cast.

Ruffalo is careful not to actually say that he is in Captain America: Civil War, but his word selection may have a few think otherwise. On the other hand, if he is in it, it would explain why William Hurt is reprising his role as General Thunderbolt Ross from The Incredible Hulk.

When we last saw Bruce Banner/The Hulk he was flying away in a quinjet to keep others safe from himself. Realizing how much of a danger he is to the public when he is in his Hulk form, Banner comes to the decision that it’s best if he goes back into hiding. But if he is in Civil War, what exactly happens in the film that causes him to return to the Avengers?

Also, if Hulk is indeed in the film, that would mean that Thor would be the only member of the Avengers who isn’t in Captain America: Civil War. He would presumably be handling his own issues in Thor: Ragnarok.

Captain America: Civil War opens May 6, 2016.

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
