Another finale is upon us! I am going to miss the belly laughs of this delightful little comedy.

The morning brief has Peralta (Andy Samberg) and Santiago (Melissa Fumero) leading the case of an identity thief, who made off with over 100,000 social security numbers, ready to sell to China. The two of them cannot get over the awkwardness of how much they like each other – resorting to insults (“weird elbows”). The case forces them to get reeeally close though. The ending for the episode for them is satisfying.

Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) has a plan to get out of PR desk duty promotion that Madeline Wunch (guest star Kyra Sedgwick), tricked him into last week. But he needs Gina (Chelsea Peretti) and Terry’s (Terry Crews) help.

Gina: “I’ll distract the file clerk. Apparently, he’s very into birdwatching, so talking to a woman should blow his mind. And talking to this woman?” Points to self and whispers, “It could kill him.”

I’m gonna miss you most of all, Gina.

Wunch insists on patting Holt down, and Terry isn’t the only person to think it’s weird. Very sexual. Doesn’t she know he’s gay? However, their insults and banter do live on the edge of tension. Maybe they were together in the past. This is not a spoiler, just speculation.

The running theme seems to be how well they know each other. Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) reveals some Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz) tidbits (watch to hear about Gilmore Girls). And Peralta knows exactly what Santiago will eat after the case, including pierogies.

The synopsis reveals that someone is leaving the precinct. And someone does. Then…

Brooklyn Nine-Nine leaves us with the ultimate cliffhanger – it’s like in a soap opera, when something dramatic happens and everyone stares and the screen goes black. While it’s not as dramatic as the series finale of what I expect Mad Men to be, I waited with mouth open, for just one more reveal… that never came.

See ya next season, Peralta and the gang…
