Last week on iZombie, we all got our hearts broken, as guilt ridden Lowell (Bradley James), self-proclaimed wuss, valiantly tried to kill Blaine (David Anders) when Liv (Rose McIver) couldn’t. Blaine took him out. Ravi (Rahul Kohli) is not a zombie! That was a close call. He had been testing himself because the zombie rat bit him. The Candyman broke into Major’s (Robert Buckley). Major shot him three times in the chest, dead (or so he thought). He called Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) for help, but when help arrived – no body, no blood.

iZombie 1.10 “Mr. Berserk” review: This was a really sad episode. I was close to tears for most of it. Liv is heartbroken, but can’t talk about Lowell’s death. She throws herself into work. “Work” is the death of the reporter that was with Major who wrote the skate park story. Apparently she was a raging alcoholic AND she was investigating Max Rager, the drink allegedly responsible for the zombie crazed attack that caused Liv to turn (not that the reporter knew that). Cool guest spot! Steven Weber is the Max Rager CEO, and obnoxious as all hell. Liv finds herself having to go “full-on zombie,” complete with red eyes, when she wakes up on a boat with a cinderblock attached to her ankle. Well, wouldn’t you?

In the meantime, Major is checking himself into a psych home because he thinks he’s crazy. The Candyman is alive and working out, even after Major shot him three times in the chest. Ravi advises Liv to tell Major. She’s reluctant.

This is really not going to end well. I think they should tell him. He’s going to find out anyway, and then he’s going to be REALLY angry that this was kept from him.

Sweet moment… Liv is wasted (not the sweet part), and calls Major to get her. He puts her to bed and rubs her back. I wish someone would look at me like that. Girl, are you crazy? Hang onto that man!

Now, I know Liv and Major really do belong together, but I did love Lowell. Alas, they had to kill off Bradley James so he could go be Damien on A&E. But it still bums me out.

iZombie airs Tuesday nights at 9pm ET on The CW.
