Chances are that we won’t get out first glimpse of footage from Marvel Studios’ next massive superhuman donnybrook Captain America: Civil War until Disney’s D23 Expo this August, but an industrious YouTube user by the name of DestinationAvatar has taken the initiative and created their own bootleg teaser trailer for the film to give us a sense of what we could be in store for next May.
You can check it out here below.
This video has all of the tell-tale signs of a leaked trailer, from the shaky-cam and occasional blurry frame to the spontaneous audience applause to indicate that this was filmed in a packed theater. Said applause seems a little premature at times. The fake trailer is put together beautifully, starting with a montage of historic speeches and news clips to set the tone before proceeding into a quick-cut blast of Marvel-ous action. DestinationAvatar has a big future as a trailer editor based on this fan-made video.
Captain America: Civil War opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.
