The Music Of Apocalypse Game ‘Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture’ (Video)

One of the games I’m most excited to play is Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture, the new game from Dear Esther and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs developer The Chinese Room and publisher Sony Computer Entertainment.

It’s an open-world and story-driven adventure game set in a quaint English village after a mysterious apocalyptic event occurs, leaving the player to make their way around and piece together what happened.

A new video for the game has been released looking at the music being created for it, which can be seen below. You can also find a few other older videos including trailers and a gameplay demo below since this is the first time I’ve had a chance to cover it here.

Everybody’s Gone to the Raptureâ„¢ tells the story of the inhabitants of a remote English valley who are caught up in world-shattering events beyond their control or understanding. Made by The Chinese Room – the studio responsible for the hauntingly beautiful Dear Esther – this tale of how people respond in the face of grave adversity is a non-linear, open-world experience that pushes innovative interactive storytelling to the next level.Over the course of the game, the player slowly pieces together the fate of the valley from the fragmentary memories of the people who made it their home. By finding and interacting with the traces of these lost lives, the player gradually learns about the stories and relationships of the inhabitants – how they lived, and how they died. All this is accomplished through revolutionary environmental storytelling – what you see and hear in Rapture is just as important as what you do.

Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 on August 11th. Which means I need to get me one of them shiny new PS4s soon!
