Disney In Depth: 60 Favorite Things To Do At Disneyland (Part 2)
  |  @   |

Planning a trip to Disneyland and want to make your experience more magical? Have you simply visited the parks more times than you can count, and seek to try something different? Here I continue my list of 60 Favorite Things To Do At Disneyland. Why 60? Paying homage to the park’s diamond anniversary, of course!

31. Riding both sides of the Matterhorn during both the daytime and nighttime, as each track offers an alternative experience and the lighting influences the ambiance.

32. Finding the nod to the original Swiss Family Robinson attraction within Tarzan’s Treehouse in Adventureland.

33. Greeting the goats at Big Thunder Ranch.

34. Purchasing a pin at Store Command in Tomorrowland, which houses a variety of options for shoppers and collectors.

35. Attempting to remove the sword from the stone.

36. Playing around with the random features in Mickey’s and Minnie’s houses.

37. Channeling various expressions on Space Mountain for the on-ride photo.

38. Watching guests descend the main hill on Splash Mountain.

39. Spinning on the purple teacup on the Mad Tea Party for a truly wild ride.

40. Catching a performance by The Bootstrappers, those rascals with instruments and humor in hand around New Orleans Square.

41. Purchasing a new treat from the Jolly Holiday Bakery, always supplied with scrumptious snacks.

42. Searching for personalized souvenirs, whether in the form of keychains or other small goodies to bring back home.

43. Pulling the rope outside Indiana Jones Adventure to experience the “special” effects.

44. Taking a mid-day break on the Mark Twain Riverboat and snapping pictures of the sights along the Rivers of America.

45. Revisiting the spots I remember most from my first trip at the park as a young child, such as the mall around it’s a small world.

46. Stopping to smell the flowers (literally) around Disneyland, especially around Sleeping Beauty Castle.

47. Locating my favorite pirates while on the New Orleans Square attraction (among them, the auctioneer, “hairy leg” guy, and Carlos).

48. Getting stuck on a ride, such as Splash Mountain, which may require guests like me to exit backstage and notice the behind-the-scenes details.

49. Texting a picture from Disneyland to a friend or relative.

50. Obtaining a fortune from Esmeralda the Fortune Teller on Main Street, U.S.A.

51. Riding the E-ticket attractions during fireworks and parade times (for the shorter waits, of course).

52. Trying to pronounce the the famous Monorail safety spiel in Spanish with the same gusto as the announcer.

53. Explaining an attraction’s backstory to other guests in my party.

54. Spending time in the queue for Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, one of the few lines I actually enjoy being in, strictly due to the immersive theme.

55. Watching service dogs experience Disneyland, as these four-legged friends allow their owners to enjoy the park.

56. Having a picture taken (or taking other guests’ photos) in front of the Mickey Mouse floral arrangement at Disneyland’s entrance.

57. Finding a bench while waiting for The Enchanted Tiki Room Adventureland and simply reveling in the ambiance.

58. Sending a postcard from the park by placing my message in the real mailbox on Main Street, U.S.A.

59. Arriving in the park from the Monorail, which is just as momentous as stepping through the turnstiles.

60. Making a list of the things I hope to accomplish during my next trip to Disneyland.
