Ryan Reynolds: First ‘Deadpool’ Footage Will Be Released In 3 Weeks
  |  @   |

Those who are lucky enough to attend San Diego Comic-Con this past weekend, let alone get into Hall H, are constantly reminded not to record any of the footage presented at these panels, and that they are the first people to see such footage. Of course that doesn’t stop a few people from uploading leaked videos (with terrible quality). So for fans who are anxiously waiting to see clean and crisp scenes from these properties, they wait, sometimes months on end for the exclusive video to appear.

But as for Ryan Reynolds, he wants everyone to see the SDCC Deadpool video. The actor, who has been on a social media tear showing all sorts of behind-the-scenes photos from the production of the film, joined the thousands of fans at the Deadpool panel at Comic-Con Saturday. As you may have read from our coverage, this Deadpool film will be a no holds bar unfiltered R-rated adaptation of the Merc with the Mouth, and will be a movie that even “babies will love.”

While Reynolds has been more than generous to share his experience on the set, he regrets to tell his fans that he cannot share what was shown at Comic-Con now, but if they are patient, they will see something in three weeks. More below.

Here’s what the Deadpool actor told his fans via Twitter,

Now, from what I saw at the Con, there were some things that looked liked it needed to be polished, and most of the time that is the case with production just ending weeks before it can be presented at Comic-Con. However, the humor and quips made up for the unfinished VFX. Judging by the reaction of Hall H, they didn’t care about the unfinished work either; in fact, they wanted more, and of course they got to see the trailer again. So for those who didn’t get a chance to see it, trust me when I say this, Deadpool was one of the best things to come out SDCC 2015.

As to what we may see in three weeks, that is unknown. We saw nearly three minutes of footage from the film, which is the average runtime for any theatrical trailer. But without knowing what the studio will be releasing, we could get a condensed version of what we saw in the form of a brief teaser. But I get the feeling that we could get two trailers released – a tame green band and a NSFW red-band. But that is just a guess. We’ll just have to wait and see what is released in three weeks.

Deadpool hits theaters on February 12, 2016.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
