It’s always nice when you get to write about The Last of Us again, even if it doesn’t involve whether or not developer Naughty Dog is going to be making The Last of Us 2 after Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End or not.

No this bit of news is related to one of the best aspects of the game, its phenomenal score composed by two-time Academy Award winner Gustavo Santaolalla. It’s been announced that the full soundtrack, including the soundtrack for the DLC release “Left Behind,” will be released by Mondo Music on vinyl in an impressive little four-album collection, complete with some lovely artwork by Olly Moss and Jay Shaw.

Unfortunately, this will all cost you $75. Probably worth it for those who love the game and music as much as I do, but a little too rich for my blood sadly. And that’s even if you can secure a copy. It’s already sold out once and they’re accepting pre-orders for another shipment coming later down the road. Here’s more info:

Included on over 240 Game Of The Year lists, Naughty Dog’s survival horror masterpiece features a soundtrack that rivals some of greatest film scores of the last ten years. Fact Magaizine has listed the soundtrack as the #2 Best Video Game soundtrack of all time.

This 4XLP Box set, housed in a heavy duty Slip case featuring original artwork from Olly Moss & Jay Shaw, contains every audio cue from the massive hit game including cues from the 2014’s DLC “Left Behind.”

If you’ve still not played The Last of Us, it’s something you must remedy as soon as humanly possible. Even if you don’t own a PlayStation 3 or PS4, it’s worth getting one of those consoles JUST to play this one game. I’d recommend checking out some other games after you play it, you know, while you have the console in your possession and all, but still. It’s very much worth it.
