‘Wonder Woman’ Shoots This Fall; ‘Justice League’ Starts Next Spring
  |  @   |

Warner Bros. revealed their massive DC film slate at Comic-Con a few weeks back, giving us a glimpse at what the future holds for their cinematic universe. The studio also has deadlines to meet and schedules to keep, otherwise they risk pushing these films back to a later date. With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice currently in post-production, and Suicide Squad still shooting, the studio is giving us a small hint at when production will start for Wonder Woman and Justice League Part 1.

Check out more on the story here below.

Comic Book Movie was able to find the details from Empire Magazine. Here’s what the outlet discovered,

Logistically it is staggering. As Batman V Superman gains its coat of special effects, and the various stages of editing, scoring, grading and sound mixing are completed, Deborah Snyder, along with Roven, is watching over a sandbox that stretches around the world. Jenkins is in London prepping Wonder Woman, which will shoot there this autumn. Suicide Squad, already well underway in Toronto under the earthy gaze of Ayer, will shoot through to September. “I do watch the dailies,” she promises, enthusing about the film’s “street quality.” They are already doing soft prep for the Justice League, which will begin shooting in the spring, and overseeing the script for Aquaman, which James Wan will direct.

Well its pretty cut and dry. Patty Jenkins is still on board to direct Wonder Woman, with Justice League in the very early stages of development, with plans to shoot in the spring. The studio is also prepping for Aquaman, which James Wan will direct, but no start date was revealed.

With Wonder Woman confirmed to start shooting this fall, we are likely to hear more casting news as we get closer to the start date. Chris Pine recently signed on to play Steve Trevor, a love interest to Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). Details on the plot are limited, but based on the casting, we can guess that it will have to do with Trevor crash-landing on Paradise Island with Wonder Woman coming to his rescue, and then following him back to Earth. Again, just speculation. Wonder Woman is scheduled to open June 23, 2017.

We know even less about Justice League Part 1. Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, and Jason Momoa will all return to play Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman respectively. Zack Snyder will return to direct. Justice League Part 1 opens on November 12, 2017 and then Justice League Part 2 on June 14, 2019.
