Last year at Gamescom we saw the first gameplay demo for Quantum Break, the next game from Remedy Entertainment, the creators of hit games like Max Payne, Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne, and Alan Wake.
This year the developer was back with a brand new gameplay demo, and the game continues to look like an interesting and unique third-person cover-based action shooter. Some people hate cover-based shooters, but as far as I’m concerned so long as the game’s story stays interesting and entertaining all is good. And Quantum Break certainly looks like it could be interesting and entertaining. Plus, it’s got Littlefinger in it.
Check out the new gameplay demo and trailer below.
Fix Time Before It Destroys Everything
When time breaks, catastrophe becomes your playground. As hero Jack Joyce, you’ll fight your way through epic disasters that stutter back and forth in time. But surviving this unstable world–and halting the end of time itself–is only possible by mastering your new time powers.
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN A DRAMATIC STORY
A failed time machine experiment has fractured time itself, leaving Jack Joyce to pick up the pieces. Ashe fights to save time he must also fight Monarch Solutions, a ruthless corporation led by his old friend-turned-enemy Paul Serene. Jack struggles to save time as Paul seeks to stop him at any cost.
EXPERIENCE TIME-AMPLIFIED COMBAT
Push cinematic action to the next level in this time-fractured world. Manipulate time to gain the upper hand. Freeze enemies in the blink of an eye. With time itself in your arsenal, combat is never predictable.
MANUEVER THROUGH EPIC DESTRUCTION
Time collapses around you, creating epic stutter moments where a suddenly frozen world jerks back and forth violently. Stutters can strike at any moment, causing every manner of disaster as time skips forward and back. Navigate these unpredictable catastrophes or become their victim.
