Lip Sync Battle Terrance Howard Taraji P. Henson

The finale! The show ended with a bang! And money! Last night on Lip Sync Battle, not only did they have the two powerhouses from the hit FOX show Empire, Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson go head to head for the champion belt. They had something new – the two forces combined efforts for a Lip Sync Battle first- a duet between competitors!

Not only that, these two commanded such attention, they got 2 shows in the same night, Part 1 and Part 2. Host LL Cool J and color commentator Chrissy Teigen looked like they were having the time of their lives.

Watch that and the other videos below.

Cookie of course went first.

Henson started with every woman’s anthem, “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige. And then… guess who walked out? You know.

LL Cool J: “Taraji, you brought Mary J and then you brought Mary J!”

Then Howard does an emotional rendition of Boys II Men’s “I’ll Make Love To You,” and he sang it to his Cookie. He sang it so hard I saw neck veins and he fell on the floor.

The stars of Empire are on Lip Sync Battle for the season finale! Taraji P. Henson brings out a special guest for her performance of “Just Fine” by Mary J. Blige. Terrence Howard comes back with a soulful performance of “I’ll Make Love to You” by Boyz II Men.

LL Cool J reminds us that we first fell in love with this couple from Hustle and Flow. To honor that, the stars performed a song from that movie, “Hard Out Here for a Pimp,” by Three 6 Mafia. It’s a down and dirty song, but they do it nice. Henson is just a doll. I think she’s be a star in a Geico commercial, that’s how strong her appeal is.

The stars of Empire bring us a first for Lip Sync Battle! Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson perform a powerful duet of “Hard Out Here for a Pimp” by Three 6 Mafia.

For the costumes and props round, Howard did “Brick House” by The Commodores, but as Rick James.

Listen and watch carefully as LL Cool J shouts mid-performance, “I can’t get enough of this shit!”

Howard is so crazy. His outfit!

“I’m Rick James, bitch!”

He did not break character. “I want water!”

Henson was the material girl! She sashayed through “Material Girl” by Madonna and killed it!

This week we have the stars of Empire battling it out! Terrence Howard channels Rick James in his performance of “Brick House” by The Commodores. Then, the lovely Taraji P. Henson comes out with a stellar performance of “Material Girl” by Madonna.

And the winner is… Terrance Howard! Cookie wants a recount. Of course she does.

See ya next season, Lip Sync Battle.
