Black Metal Friday: Behemoth “The Satanist” (Official Video)
  |  @   |

This past Tuesday (my birthday… woo hoo!), Polish metal superstars Behemoth gave us a brand new official video for the title track of their epic masterpiece album The Satanist. Watch the video here below!

The album was released in May of 2014 to widespread critical acclaim. It received a 92 out of 100 from Metacritic, making it one of the highest scoring metal albums of all time. It topped many a critic’s year end list, landing in the second place slot on my own best of list.

The title track is the fourth single and video from The Satanist. The video features a bewildered and distorted-looking woman trying to find her way in a sea of faceless humans before finally succumbing and turning into one of them. I’ll leave the interpretations up to you. Just crank it up and enjoy some of the greatest blackened death metal ever known to mankind and keep your fingers crossed that The Satanist is not Behemoth’s swan song. Singer/guitarist Adam “Nergal” Darski has been hinting that the band may be done or at least on an extended hiatus due to the fact that he feels he can never top the album’s quality.
