Indiegogo Spotlight: ‘Beyond Lovecraft’ Graphic Novel By Rob Moran and Jasper Bark
  |  @   |

H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu stories have had a profound effect on a multitude of people for almost a century. They have inspired any number of books, games, and toys that continues on to this very day. As a matter of fact, I sit here with a Pop! figurine of Cthulhu on my desk inspiring me as I write this article! And having said that, I am proud to be able to present to you a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for Beyond Lovecraft, a wondrous graphic novel that stays true to the original tales by taking the reader to some unpredictable and desolate places via sequential art. Four stories, all tied together with a single theme. What more could you ask for, right?

Well, how about Rob Moran providing all the art? That’s all it took to get me hooked. Well, that and he contacted me personally to let me know about it. I’ve been a fan for years, as his artwork is impeccable. He has a certain noir, macabre twist to much of his work that gives it far more depth than most artists can muster on their best days. He’s teamed up with writer Jasper Bark to create this amazing 96-page graphic novel for us.

Now, I don’t know much about Bark, but if Moran thinks he’s up to the job, then he must be! But seriously, both of these guys are award-winning creators who have done some spectacular work, I have no doubt this will be as good as, if not better than, their previous works.

As with most crowdfunding campaigns, there are rewards for different donation levels. You get access to individual stories or the entire comic in digital form, depending on your pledge amount. If dead tree versions are more your style, you can get them, too! Interviews, special features, your likeness in the graphic novel — all of these are available to you, if you so choose. There are far too many of them for me to list here, so make sure you check them out before it’s too late! Many of them are only available in small quantities.

I urge you to watch the video here below, and check out the official Indiegogo page here. There’s a bit of time left on the fundraiser itself, but as I mentioned earlier, many of these rewards are limited in quantity. Make sure you head over now to get the one you like best! I, for one, cannot wait to see the final product!

  2. No problem at all! I loved the video, by the way! So animated and you kept it lighthearted, no easy task when dealing with an Elder God!
