On Scream Queens, Boone is freely walking around campus in his horrible disguise, that everyone thinks is Joaquin Phoenix doing performance art. Chanel #3 (Billie Lourd) stumbles into him and since he was “killed” by the Red Devil, the obvious conclusion is”¦ he’s a ghost. Yeah, no one ever accused the Chanels of being the sharpest tool in that place you keep tools. Boone (Nick Jonas) spooks her and she runs off. Boone and his Red Devil 2 are planning to kill off mastermind Gigi (Nasim Pedrad). He asks about Zayday; a bit of a puzzling inquiry. Meanwhile, as per the events of last week: Devils attacking Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) and killing candle blogger Jennifer, Wallace University is shutting down and by extension, Kappa is too. Of course Chanel (Emma Roberts) will have none of this.

“Listen up hot faced sluts!” I love Chanel’s insults”¦ she also calls the others “whores” and “bitches” in a 3-minute span. She has been proposed to by Chad Radwell”¦ proposed that they go to his family’s “compound” for Thanksgiving. The compound may be haunted by the ghost of one his dad’s ex-girlfriends.

“Yeah like the furniture just starts screaming, or you’ll crack open a Mountain Dew and you’ll start to drink it, and it’ll just turn to blood”¦ we’re gonna have the dopest time!”

Grace (Skyler Samuels) and Zayday (Keke Palmer) plan to spend the holidays together as the Chanels wrap all their expensive stuff in bubble wrap. Chanel #3 is having trouble dealing with the return of the ghost of “dead gay Boone.” Luckily new housemother Denise (Niecy Nash) distracts everyone with, well, more ghost stories. Chanel #6 (Lea Michele) has great reactions, loving every minute, while Chanel gives her dirty looks. My wife commented as we were watching how similar the Chanel banter is to Santana, Brittany, and Quinn on Glee. Ryan Murphy and his gang certainly know a formula that works. Ghost Boone is maybe the most ridiculously funny thing this show has done, and that is saying something. His moment with Chad Radwell (Glen Powell) is hilarious, as he describes his plan to return from the dead by making Zayday fall in love and sleep with him”¦ okay.

Denise gets attacked in the bathroom by the Red Devil and manages to escape back to the Chanels. What will calm her down”¦ another ghost story. Chanel #5 (Abigail Breslin) has had enough and demands they get out of Kappa House and to safety. When Boone makes his move on Zayday her and Grace don’t fall for his “ghost” charms until they force him out a window and he somehow vanishes. He resurfaces the stab Zayday’s boyfriend in the back (literally). #5 barely escapes another potential kill”¦ she’s somehow avoided death several times.

#6 moves in on Chad Radwell in her bedazzled neck brace and their conversation is the absolute best part of this or any other episode. His top 5 reasons why he isn’t bringing her to Radwell Thanksgiving was great, but their “we’ll see” back and forth had me tearing up. Lea Michele has seamlessly transitioned her uber-gleek persona as Rachel on Glee to a psychotic version with Hester. Fans of Glee (myself included) always saw this as an outcome for her character, one bad audition and the last screw would go loose.

She bursts Chanel’s bubble with a major announcement”¦ She’s pregnant! Chanel runs to Chad who is still packing: “…that’s why I chose to minor in luggage sciences with an emphasis in packing theory.” His decision to deal with it by marrying Hester flips Chanel into potentially murderous rage. Boone and his twin’s plan is almost to fruition, except when Gigi shows up at the murder time, Red Devil 2 pulls a fast one and”¦ let’s just say there’s now only one Red Devil and Boone may actually be a ghost. As this is happening Chanel and Hester have their final battle and only one walks away”¦

Scream Queens hit the kill button this week as the Devils were out slicing and dicing. The ghost stories and the subsequent events were fun, and we got a major dosing of Chad Radwell which makes me happy. Glen Powell deserves a ton of credit for taking the absurd dialogue and running with it fully. This felt like a complete Scream Queens episode, lunacy, crazy dialogue, bloodshed, surprise kills”¦ I cannot wait for next week because it’s the Thanksgiving episode where we meet The Radwell Family. Alan Thicke and Julia Duffy guest star as Chad’s parents, and Chad Michael Murray and Patrick Scwarzenegger guest star as his brothers Brad and Thad! That episode premieres next Tuesday night at 9:00 ET on FOX.
