‘Lip Sync Battle’ Holiday Special! Mackie vs Gordon-Levitt!
  |  @   |

Last night, one of my guilty pleasures returned for a special holiday show. Host LL Cool J and color commentator Chrissy Teigen got us all into the Thanksgiving, Christmas, Kwanzaa, Three Kings, Chanukkah, New Year’s Day spirit, by having one of the funniest Lip Sync Battles to date! The stars of The Night Before, Seth Rogen, Anthony Mackie, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt were on hand to spread a little cheer, and to make a lot of dirty jokes.

Watch all the fantastic-ness below.

Mackie and Gordon-Levitt squared off, while Rogen provided extra commentary as “Seth on a shelf,” dressed in giant footie pajamas.

The first song was a classic. Joseph Gordon-Levitt performed “Yeah” by Usher.

Woohoo!! He jumps, he grinds, he simulates sex. The boy has some dance moves. Such an excellent lip syncer dropping to the floor. He is all heart – just oh my god.

LL Cool J: “I don’t know how she’s going to say no!”
Teigen: “That was a lot of thrusting.”
Rogan: “The view from the shelf was on fire.”

Anthony Mackie chose a song that “quantifies every college girl’s experience.” The song? “I Kissed a Girl” by Katy Perry. He was super sexy. He crawled to the audience. He showed a ton of emotion. Sooo… great. He got on all fours and started swinging his head back and forth. His lip syncing could have been a little tighter, but it was still so entertaining.

Mackie said about Katy Perry: “If she ever wanna come to the hood, I ain’t sending no car over for you, I am picking you up.”
Rogen: “He got a little chunk of that stage pregnant.”

Joseph Gordon-Levitt performs “Yeah!” | Lip Sync Battle Holiday Special

Joseph Gordon-Levitt pumps up the crowd with “Yeah” by Usher featuring Lil Jon & Ludacris! Can he beat his “The Night Before” co-star Anthony Mackie? Tune in Thursday at 10/9c to find out!

Anthony Mackie performs “I Kissed A Girl” | Lip Sync Battle Holiday Special

Anthony Mackie gets down to Katy Perry’s “I Kissed A Girl” in his battle with “The Night Before” co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, while Seth Rogen looks on.

Three-man team up for Run DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis” with Mackie, Gordon-Levitt, and Rogen in gold chains and blue track suits.

And then Run DMC comes out (RIP Jam Master Jay) to sing along. Awesome!

Aw! It was so cute watching LL Cool J reminisce with them. He grew up with Run DMC.

Rogen: “I’ve loved this song ever since I saw Die Hard.”

For the production round, it was MC Hammer’s “Too Legit to Quit.” Mackie came out in a white suit. He was so great dancing like Hammer. Then he took off the white outfit – and danced only wearing a singlet. Danced his little heart out. Perfection!

Mackie: “Thats what I do on the weekends.”
Rogen: “Your groin looks incredible.”
Mackie: “Eyes up here.”
Rogen: “I’m making contact wth one of your eyes. It looks like you got 3 dicks in there.”

LL could not stop laughing, looking like it was hard to breathe.

Mackie: “This was my audition for Magic Mike 3.”

Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation was next with Gordon-Levitt as Ms. Jackson. He had on full face makeup and ponytail. They did the entire dance with the arms!! Just wow. He just commits. No wonder he’s a star.

Teigen: “You went full Janet!”
LL Cool J: “Mr. Levitt if you’re nasty.”

Rogen on why Mackie would win if it was about… his private area: “He would have it in the sack. The package was delivered… Not dick sync battle.”

Anthony Mackie’s “2 Legit 2 Quit” vs. Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s “Rhythm Nation” | Lip Sync Battle

#TheNightBefore stars Anthony Mackie and Joseph Gordon-Levitt battle it out in the 2015 Holiday Special! Anthony takes on MC Hammer’s classic “2 Legit 2 Quit” and Joseph does a spot-on rendition of Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation”!

And the winner is…Joseph Gordon-Levitt!!

I must say that I really like the way Lip Sync Battle takes you behind the scenes to rehearsals and feelings of the guest stars.

Lip Sync Battle returns in January for a Tatum takeover. That’s right. Channing and Jenna Dewan-Chatum battle it out! See ya next year!
