Beware of spoilers!

It’s the most glorious non Chanel-oween holiday of the year – Black Friday! Sure, Scream Queens’ Thanksgiving was ruined when the turkey ended up being Gigi’s (Nasim Pedrad) severed head. But hey, that can’t keep a good Chanel down. Chanel (Emma Roberts), rich beyond her wildest dreams, uses Black Friday to tease the “manatee” and buy really cheap gifts for her friends. Even Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis) tries to stop them, but alas, the Chanels are determined to get their doorbusters. Wes (Oliver Hudson), Grace (Skyler Samuels) and Pete (Diego Boneta) head to the police station, but find everyone on the “retail beat.” Wes is broken up about his girlfriend; “My girlfriend was murdered. The killer cut her head off, and tried to serve it to us for Thanksgiving.”

More below.

Chanel realizes the true meaning of the holidays too late, and the mall closes with them in it. The Red Devil has them where he/she wants… in sights with a crossbow. Chanel, thinking it’s Munsch, decides to confront the Devil once and for all, but takes an arrow to the shoulder for her trouble. She’s saved at the bell by new Chief of Police, Denise (Niecy Nash), who of course talks so much, the Devil escapes.

Chanel of all people unites Kappa House against Munsch with a final declaration… Kill Munsch… and Grace actually supports this. They even agree on the method (poison)… aw, are Grace and Chanel new besties! Meanwhile, Chad Radwell (Glen Powell) reads Boone’s will to Pete, and Pete is surprisingly the recipient of everything. This leads to an absolutely awe-inspiring back and forth between them that has to be heard. In the end, Chad Radwell has his honor besmirched, and they must duel… “You will get murdered Pete Martinez. Murdered to Death!”

Grace and Chanel uses pufferfish venom to spike Munsch’s apple cider.

Chanel # 5 (Abigail Breslin) – “Where’d you get pufferfish venom?”

Hester (Lea Michele) – “Umm, from my pufferfish.”

Munsch survives her poisoning thanks to her “vulture gullet.” Pete convinces Grace to rethink her Kill Munsch plan, but Zayday (Keke Palmer) replaces her and agrees with Chanel. So besties no more as Grace is kicked out of the house. We find out some more background about Gigi… apparently her sister took the bathtub babies in, but the pressure got to her, and she killed herself. So Gigi took the task to raise them to become vengeance seeking Red Devil killers. Grace and Wes have probably the most awkward father-daughter sex conversation ever. Being that Wes fathered the Red Devil twins with a girl whose name he doesn’t remember, he probably isn’t the best for this talk.

The Chanels try to kill Munsch again, this time freezing her in a cryo-spa… but this is Jamie Lee Curtis, and she appears to be indestructible. Pete gets a mysterious phone call, that seems to incriminate him, especially since he still has his Red Devil mascot suit hanging in his closet. He ends with a not so cryptic line to Grace… “I don’t want your first time to be with a murderer.”

With one more episode left, there are so many questions remaining. Is Munsch some type of unkillable monster? Who was the female twin born in the bathtub? Were any of the murders we witnessed staged? I can honestly say, the identity of Red Devil is totally up in the air, which makes it so much fun. Emma Roberts dominated this week and has been award worthy for the way she so subtlety weaves words like “sluts” and “whores” into seemingly normal sentences. Pete also played a much bigger role this week, although that feels MacGuffin-ish. The unholy trio of Brennan/Falchuk/Murphy know better than any right now, how to blend wit, sarcasm, and horror, and Scream Queens does it perfectly.

Scream Queens returns with a 2-hour season finale next Tuesday night starting at 8:00pm ET on FOX.
