12 Days Of Deadpool Day 1: Ryan Reynolds Sips Some Eggnog (Maybe)
  |  @   |

Deadpool just loves himself a holiday. For Halloween we saw him hanging out with and being a role model for children, and with Christmas just around the corner he’s naturally in a jolly, giving sort of mood. Because Deadpool is a jolly and giving sort of guy. He just is; there’s no need to question it.

To celebrate the holidays, the Merc with a Mouth is sharing with the world the 12 Days of Deadpool. Each day starting with today will bring with it a special new treat related to the upcoming movie, ending on Christmas Day with the best gift of all: a brand new trailer.

You can check out the first video released to kick off the 12 Days of Deadpool below.

SYNOPSIS:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Starring in the movie is Ryan Reynolds (Smokin’ Aces, Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place) as the title character, and he’ll be joined by Morena Baccarin (Firefly, Homeland) as Copycat, T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley, How to Train Your Dragon) as Weasel, Ed Skrein (The Transporter Refueled, Game of Thrones) as Ajax, Gina Carano (Haywire, Fast & Furious 6) as Angel Dust, and Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

Deadpool is the directorial debut of Tim Miller, an effects artist who has worked on projects like Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, with the screenplay penned by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (Zombieland, G.I. Joe: Retaliation). Producing is Simon Kinberg, Lauren Shuler Donner, and Reynolds.
