Warning! Do not proceed if you are not all caught up!

Last month the fall finale of The Flash saw The Trixter (Mark Hamill) up to his usual hijinks, but this time he recruited The Weather Wizard and Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller). Cold warns Barry (Grant Gustin) and splits. Now while Trixter business was enough for an episode, it was really the 2 side things that floored us. One – the appearance of Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) at the door. Two – Harry (Tom Cavanagh) finally (albeit reluctantly) throwing in with Zoom (Tony Todd) for the sake and safety of his daughter.

Spoilers below.

Joe (Jesse L Martin) is nervous about Wally. It seems as though Wally might have been running with the wrong crowd. He stands the Wests up (including Barry) for dinner. We find out later that it’s the Fast and the Furious kind of crowd. Joe handles him with grace as he handles all things.

Barry is having nightmares and is holding back from Patty (Shantel VanSanten) and she notices. She asks Iris (Candice Patton) for advice. Awkward! Iris tells her to talk to him, and tells him to open up to her. How is she supposed to end up being Mrs. Allen if she’s so sensible about his relationships?

The Turtle is the meta of the day. Apparently, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) has been tracking him, and he thinks he may be the key to stopping Zoom. Now Harry is interested. The reason for the nickname? He slows down everyone around him, so he seems fast. His next target is at a fancy art thing.

Convo of the episode:

Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) to Jay (Teddy Sears): “How do you look in a tux?”
Cisco: “Come on. He’s 6’2″. He’s square-jawed and he’s jacked. I think he looks fine.”
Jay: “I’m 6’4”

Barry sees the art thing as an opportunity to tell Patty. And Cisco with the zingers!

“You’re a really great superhero, but do you think it’s a good idea when you are fighting crime to bring a date?” Love you, Cisco!

Of course, predictably, despite Harry’s warning, just as he is about to tell her, Turtle shows up.

Turtle figures out that Patty is precious to Barry. Damn it! He should have told her! She is about to be kept like a dead pet forever, but The Flash swoops in and powers through. He saves the girl, but just as he is about to REALLY spill all…she throws him for a loop. You’ll see.

I really spent the entire episode like, “How are they going to stop this guy?” So thanks Flash for the unexpected.

Good episode. I’m kinda bummed we didn’t get deep into Earth-2 yet, but also excited because I still have that to look forward to.

Oh man. Poor Jay and Caitlin!

It ends with a familiar evil face!

The Flash airs Tuesday nights at 8:00pm ET on The CW.
