I don’t typically cover who’s dating who in the celebrity world, but every so often there’s a coupling that just needs to be talked about. And this time around, it’s the actors who play Jon Snow and Ygritte on the popular HBO series Game Of Thrones.

For a while now, it’s been speculated that Jon Snow actor Kit Harington and Ygritte actress Rose Leslie were dating in real life, and the two have made it a point over the years to deny the rumors. But, now the former co-stars have confirmed it by making their first public appearance together, which was on the red carpet at Sunday night’s Olivier Awards at The Royal Opera House in London, England.

While British Harington has been on Game Of Thrones since its series premiere in April 17, 2011, Scottish Leslie made her first appearance in May 2012 in the Season 2 episode “The Old Gods and the New.” Jon Snow was already a member of the Night’s Watch when he capture the red-headed wildling Ygritte, who he couldn’t bring himself to kill. It was thanks to Ygritte that the catchphrase “You know nothing, Jon Snow” caught on. Eventually, the two characters fell in love, and audiences squealed, as the two together on screen was electrifying. Hence, why their true-life coupling is noteworthy.

Harington and Leslie had filmed their scenes for Game Of Thrones in Iceland, and this past weekend, Harington admitted in an interview on The Jonathan Ross Show to falling in love with his co-star while filming in the country.
