Paramount Pictures has released the second trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows, which is a sequel to the 2014 hit.
Check out the trailer and poster here below.
Director David Green (Earth To Echo) takes over for previous director Jonathan Liebesman, for an all new adventure that sees the Turtles face off against their greatest threat. A new enemy has arrived who’s new alliance with the likes of Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams), Rocksteady (Stephen Farrelly, a.k.a. WWE’s Sheamus), and Doctor Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry). This can only give the Turtles more problems. That is when they make a few allies of their own when Casey Jones (Stephen Amell) comes in to save April O’Neill (Megan Fox).
The trailer features some new details about the plot, one that could force the Turtles to make a life-changing decision. In it, the Turtles yearn to be “out of the shadows” – get it? – so that they can interact like normal humans. However, they cannot leave from their home in the sewers, not even on Halloween where it would be less conspicuous. But when a new enemy arrives with a new mutagen that could turn humans into ferocious beasts, our heroes discover that the mutagen could do the opposite and turn themselves back into humans.
Will Arnett returns to reprise his role as Vern Fenwick, and he will be joined by Laura Linney as Chief Rebecca Vincent and Brian Tee as The Shredder, both actors are new to the franchise. Fred Armisen was recently cast as Krang.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows opens in theaters on June 3, 2016.
Here’s the official plot synopsis:
Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael return to theaters this summer to battle bigger, badder villains, alongside April O’Neil (Megan Fox), Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett), and a newcomer: the hockey-masked vigilante Casey Jones (Stephen Amell). After supervillain Shredder escapes custody, he joins forces with mad scientist Baxter Stockman (Tyler Perry) and two dimwitted henchmen, Bebop (Gary Anthony Williams) and Rocksteady (WWE Superstar Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly), to unleash a diabolical plan to take over the world. As the Turtles prepare to take on Shredder and his new crew, they find themselves facing an even greater evil with similar intentions: the notorious Krang.
