Last week on The Last Man On Earth, Mike Miller (Guest star Jason Sudeikis) was really hitting it off with the Malibu residents, and Phil (Will Forte) was jealous (surprise!). They acted just like brothers – brothers in the regular world, not ones who miraculously survived an apocalypse together. But the group (except Carol) showed preference for Mike. Tandy got so envious, he told them how Mike wasn’t there for his dying grandmother. Mike got him back though. He shaved half his head and beard. Melissa and Gail (January Jones and Mary Steenburgen) agreed to both date Todd (Mel Rodriguez).

Spoilers below.

The Last Man On Earth 2.15 “Fourth Finger” review: This week picks up right where they left off – admiring the hair.

Mike: “Business on the right there and party on the left.”

Erica (Cleopatra Coleman): “You look like 2 different serial killers.”

Tandy is fuming, but pretending (to the belief of no one) that he likes it. And… the carpet matches the drapes.

Even though the girls are ok with it, Todd still tries to lie. Gail says they should all be completely honest with each other, which causes Todd to overshare.

Mike is the better pranker. Tandy goes to put poison oak in his sleeping bag, and gets ink squirted in his face (which he tries to cover with makeup). He tries the oak one more time, but Mike makes him rub it onto his balls. Ouch! Then Tandy wakes up and rolls off a cliff… onto a giant bean bag thing so no worries, but now he’s petrified.

He gets busy Todd on his side, and Mike gives up. Or does he?

Tandy gets him back good with a fake mom letter.

Todd let everyone have it – he’s gonna give 600% of himself to everyone.

The brothers end up giving us a case of the feels by the end.

Carol (Kristen Schaal) has a shocking idea. This doesn’t seem like it will end well.

This week’s episode was much, much better. I know many people like when there is a sad sack always getting the short end a la Ben Stiller in Meet The Parents, but that’s never been my thing. The redemption is the sincerity in the moments of making up. I know Tandy will muck it up again – that’s just who he is, but it is nice seeing him have real moments with his brother.

The “fourth finger” seems like a total genuine brother thing.

The Last Man On Earth airs Sunday nights at 9:30pm ET on FOX.

FOX’s synopsis:

SUN APR 17 9:30/8:30c
