X-Men: Apocalypse - Four Horseman

Fox has released the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. Directed by Bryan Singer (who has directed four of the six X-Men films), the film stars James McAvoy and Jennifer Lawerence as the mutant superheroes who must lead the gifted young students into battle against the titular villain (Oscar Isaac), who some claim to be a god. And as if fighting the world’s first mutant wasn’t enough of a problem, things get more complicated when Professor X’s (McAvoy) former friend Magneto (Michael Fassbender) allies himself with Apocalypse.

Check out the full trailer below.

Of course, there is a ton of new footage. However, there are still a couple of important things to note. We finally get to see what motivates Magneto to join Apocalypse as one of his Four Horseman Of The Apocalypse. And… that final tease of a certain Adamantium-clawed mutant. I was beginning to wonder if those walls looked like something where nefarious experiments were conducted. Other than that, there really isn’t anything to go into detail about. The footage pretty much speaks for itself.

The appearance (or tease) of Wolverine doesn’t come off as a huge surprise. The character has appeared in every single X-Men film since it was first released in 2000. Cameo or not, it should be interesting to see what kind of an impact he has in that film, and what brought him to what looks to be an underground bunker. Since Days of Future Past reset the X-Men timeline, could it be the same bunker that gave him his Adamantium claws?

The film also stars Nicholas Hoult, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Olivia Munn, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Josh Helman, Lana Condor, and Ben Hardy.

X-Men: Apocalypse arrives May 27th.

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
