E3 2016: ‘South Park: The Fractured But Whole’ Gameplay, Trailer, Release Date
  |  @   |

Last year during E3 a surprise sequel to the fantastic 2014 game South Park: The Stick of Truth was announced. Not only was the sequel, titled South Park: The Fractured but Whole, present at E3 2016, but it was one of the highlights of the convention so far.

South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were both on hand once again to talk about the game and share some goodies. In addition to a new trailer, the first gameplay footage was also on display and, as you might have expected, it all looks magnificent. It’s also very much not safe for workplace viewing or when the kiddies are around, so keep that in mind before heading below to dive into the hilarity.

The first video below is the entire Fractured but Whole presentation, with Parker and Stone and all of the footage they shared. It begins with a brief misdirection intro, making everyone think it was another Ubisoft shooter before revealing its true identity—both hilarious and fitting for the superhero theme of the sequel. This is the NSFW video.

The second video is the trailer that was shown at the end of the presentation, which covers why the group of superhero friends was fractured, causing a…civil war…between them. You can probably guess where this is going. In this version of the trailer the naughty words have been given the ol’ bleep treatment, so if you are slacking off at work or around little ones this is the one to go for!

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is scheduled to be released on December 6th on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. You can pre-order both the regular edition and the SteelBook Gold Edition (which includes the season pass for all DLC) now.

Be sure to check out the rest of our E3 2016 coverage as well!
