If Frozen beat you down to the point where you just couldn’t deal with Disney animation anymore, then you probably need some medical attention, or just a hug. And who better to help than Baymax, the inflatable personal healthcare bot from 2014’s Big Hero 6. So as you prepare to be dragged to the next CGI animated movie (The Secret Life of Pets), the gang at Screen Junkies want you to remember the film that made you laugh, cry, won an Oscar, and best of all… wasn’t Frozen!
Check out the Honest Trailer below.
Seriously, did anyone else know this was based on a Marvel comic? I mean, they do that Stan Lee cameo at the end, but I never put two and two together. But, as narrator Jon Bailey points out, it has all the tropes of the MCU films, from quippy heroes, to vague villains, disposable robots… “this is the Marveliest non-Marvel ever!” Meet Baymax, the combination WebMD/Marshmallow that everyone wants to hug. And Hiro, a miniature Tony Stark who goes to a school where he and his friends build things that all the genius scientists on the planet couldn’t do… and get no credit for it, because it’s basically their homework. And watch as he teaches the gentle healthcare giver to be a violent super robot… or as Bailey points out, Terminator 2 in reverse.
Starring: Obamacare, A TJ Miller Type, Human Segway, Dredlock Psylocke, Gak, and Spoooooky Legos… New Title: The Incredi-Tweens. Seriously my daughter made me watch this repeatedly and it never got boring. I love it. Big Hero 6 is available now on Amazon.
Screen Junkies has just under 5.6 million subscribers on YouTube and releases a new Honest Trailer every Tuesday.
