SDCC 2016: Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ Confirmed For Season 3 On Netflix

Well, it’s official. Season 3 of Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix is coming soon. Announced earlier today at San Diego Comic-Con and via Twitter this evening, we get a small taste of what’s to come in a newly released announcement video.
The teaser video features a NYC subway sign for the 1, 2, and 3 train lines in Hell’s Kitchen, and when the lights go out for a moment, we hear the sounds of melee combat. I didn’t catch it on the first go around, but did notice on the second: the iconic DD is splattered in blood on the sign! Though we never see an combatants, there’s no doubt what’s happening. When the lights come back on, the sign for the 3 train is spotlighted before the text comes up that “Season III” will be “coming soon.”
But don’t take my word for it, watch the teaser trailer here below!
If you aren’t familiar with this series, shame on you! No, I get it, not everyone has Netflix but there has never been a better reason to have it than all of the amazing Marvel characters being portrayed there. Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Daredevil is the tale of blind lawyer Matt Murdock, played perfectly by Charlie Cox, who fights injustice in courts by day and on the streets as a red-suited title vigilante by night. Murdock is aided by his law partner Foggy Nelson, portrayed by Elden Henson, and Deborah Ann Woll as secretary Karen Page. The first two seasons featured amazing performances by Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, otherwise known as The Punisher. With two amazing seasons under its belt, I can only ask “What’s next?” That and how soon is soon? But then, I’m pretty impatient. But as we hear more, we’ll keep you in the loop!
