Bruce Campbell made an appearance on Conan on Thursday night where he cut the host’s sandwich with a chainsaw Evil Dead-style.

Since moving out to California, Conan O’Brien has used the annual San Diego Comic-Con as an excuse to go buck wild with his late-night talk show Conan on his new cable home on TBS. For Thursday night’s SDCC show while hosting the stars of the CW’s new superhero primetime lineup — Stephen Amell (Arrow), Grant Gustin (Flash) and Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) — O’Brien needed a boost of energy to deal with all the star power there. To get a quick fix, he was delivered a sandwich by the backstage crew, but the sub was too long for normal human consumption.

Luckily, help was on the way. Andy Richter, O’Brien’s long-time sidekick, told him, “Ask Bruce to cut it for you.” Out mosied Bruce Campbell, the suave, sexy star of the Starz series Ash vs Evil Dead, complete with slick white smoking jacket and, of course, his patented chainsaw hand. “What’s up, Ginger?” he asked before Conan asked for help cutting the sandwich. Campbell, in total Ash mode, told the sandwich to “Come get some” before revving the saw and cutting into the food. The sandwich proceeded to shower the white-clad Evil Dead star in blood, as is the norm for Campbell for over 30 years.

“If there’s anything else you need, I’ll be in my dressing room just polishing the old blade, if you know what I mean”¦” said Campbell, who quickly added, “Of course, I mean masturbating,” before Conan interrupted and sent him off to clean up.

Campbell and the Ash vs Evil Dead crew premiered the Season 1 pilot at New York Comic-Con last Fall, and will be representing the series this weekend at SDCC, which will host the Season 2 World Premiere, and more!

Ash vs Evil Dead, starring Bruce Campbell, Pablo Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo, Lucy Lawless, returns this October with Season 2, which will see the addition of Lee Majors as Ash’s father (see the First Look). Anchor Bay Entertainment will be releasing Season 1 of Ash vs Evil Dead on DVD and Blu-ray on August 23, 2016, while Season 2 will premiere on Starz in October 2016.

Conan airs weeknights at 11:00 on TBS.
