Friday night on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Fallon and pal Seth Rogen faced off in a “Lip Sync Battle,” the bit that spawned a hit show on Spike TV. No matter where the battles take place, they are always a ton of fun, especially when Fallon is involved.
Check out the video below.
Fallon goes first with “Don’t Mind” by Kent Jones – a nice little groove that I never heard before. Then it was Rogen’s turn. Seth Rogen has been a Roots fan “literally since the day I was born.” He went one up on Fallon by having the live Roots accompaniment to “Mellow My Man,” taking out his “pick” fake microphone, and matching Tariq Trotter (aka Black Thought) word for word (although Rogen without sound).
Fallon is a maniac with his next song. He has to bring it after what Rogen pulled. “Slam” by Onyx is his number and I’ve loved this song forever.
Rogen dons a gray turtleneck, and closes it with Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” complete with Drake moves (the leg!). So good. I must confess I like Rogen’s performance much better than Drake’s. Fallon knew the jig was up between giggles.
Who won the lip sync battle?
Who do you think? Seth Rogen!!!!
The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35pm ET on NBC.
