Kickstarter Spotlight: ‘Dead Jack and The Pandemonium Device’
  |

Are you ready for a strange tale featuring a zombie detective and his homunculus partner? What if I told you that the two solve crimes in a city that can be described as “1940s New York City with Krakens and Unicorns?” If this piques your interest as it has mine, then you need to check out James Aquilone’s Kickstarter campaign for his new novel Dead Jack and the Pandemonium Device.

Find out more about the story below!

Dead Jack isn’t the best detective in Pandemonium. He’s just the cheapest. In fact he’ll work for fairy dust. But don’t judge. Jack needs it to curb his hunger for sweet, succulent flesh. In DEAD JACK AND THE PANDEMONIUM DEVICE, the first book in the series, things go bad for the brain-licker after he tries to score from his old dealer. Jack and his homunculus sidekick Oswald find themselves on the run from angry leprechauns. But they have bigger krakens to fry, because Pandemonium is in danger of going bye-bye “” and our duo is its only hope. Lucifer help them!

DEAD JACK AND THE PANDEMONIUM DEVICE is the first in a series of short novels by James Aquilone. (The second book, tentatively titled DEAD JACK AND THE SOUL THIEVES, is due out in March.)

Not only has Dead Jack surpassed its goal of $1,000, but the campaign has also managed to hit three stretch goals as well! Here’s what those milestones have unlocked: if you order the print book at any level, your package will contain a 6×9 postcard of the map of Pandemonium; every backer — including those at the $1 level — will receive an ebook containing 20 of Aquilone’s short stories; and the novel will feature two illustrations from Ed Watson.

This sounds like an awesome book (and series) with so much story to tell — and it seems like it’ll be a wild ride! Hurry up and support Dead Jack quickly, as the campaign will come to an end in less than 2 days!
