At New York Comic-Con, everything geeks love is gloriously conglomerated into one place. There is so much to see that sometimes it can seem like a daunting task. In addition to comic books, prints, collectibles, and games, there is also a proverbial cornucopia of clothing and accessory exhibitors. This week, I will be highlighting some of the most exciting and unique clothing and accessory exhibitors in preparation of the exciting events to come!

Han Cholo ‘Havoc Cuff’ Review

Havoc Cuff

Han Cholo is a Los Angeles-based jewelry company featuring some of our most-loved characters and stories like Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, Voltron, and Sonic The Hedgehog. Put simply, the company says, “We make badass jewelry for badass people!”

Han Cholo sells products in all price ranges, and has many items available in precious metals. Celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Lana Del Rey, Brad Pitt, Wiz Khalifa, Fergie, and Miley Cyrus have been spotted rocking Han Cholo, and the Voltron Ring was most recently seen in the Deadpool movie. Companies such as Disney’s Tron, Hasbro, Nintendo Wii, X Box, Hot Wheels, the Oscars, the Grammy’s, MTV Awards, Doritos, and Puma have all commissioned custom work from Han Cholo.

Now, I have the opportunity to show you the He-Man/Masters of the Universe piece, the Havoc Cuff. This baby is the perfect addition, adding a real bad-to-the-bone vibe to any ensemble. For those of you who don’t know, this bracelet is a curved replica of Skeletor’s magical staff, channeling the villain’s power and opposing He-Man’s Power Sword.

The havoc cuff has a nice weight to it: not too light, not too heavy. It is shiny and detailed and in its own way, cute! It comes with a beautiful black velvet pouch, Han Cholo-branded microfiber cloth, and care instructions. Plus, I got a fun little sticker that reminds me of an ’80s metal band album cover. I can’t wait to pair the cuff with my business casual attire at the office. It’s the ideal passive-aggressive way to tell your employer: “You don’t own me!!!” Of course, I’m speaking in hyperbole…or am I?…?!

Although Han Cholo is primarily a men’s jewelry brand, there are plenty of options for everyone; there are rings, pendants, earrings, and cuffs to boot. There’re even some specialized “His & Hers“ matching rings. There are stones, skulls, fantasy, and gamer collections, among others.

In addition to what is on their website, Han Cholo will be making some big releases during New York Comic-Con weekend (October 6-9, 2016).

Look out for the newest addition to the MOTU collection at New York Comic-Con! Han Cholo will be revealing a Skeletor Ring!

Han Cholo also has something very exciting coming out soon for all of you Defenders of the Universe! I can’t tell you what it is yet, but keep an eye out for the big announcement.
