The first season of the brilliant animated comedy Rick and Morty ended in April of 2014, with season two kicking off a little over a year later in July of 2015. If you thought season three of the show would arrive much faster than season two did given the show’s wildfire popularity, you clearly didn’t listen to Mr. Poopybutthole. At the end of the tremendous season two finale, Mr. Poopybutthole said it would be a year and a half…or longer…before a new season arrived. And that’s looking more and more likely. Season two came to a close in October of 2015, leaving us just a few months short of Mr. Poopybutthole’s estimation with no official premiere date announced yet. The point of all of this is: we should all take our friend Mr. Poopybutthole more seriously.

If you’ve never seen an episode of Rick and Morty before, you are no doubt immensely confused at this moment. But that’s OK! While we await word on when season three will be kicking off, a semi-peek at the new season has surfaced. It’s not much, and it’s not even completed footage, but it is something to hold us over. Fair warning: those caught up with the show know how crazy the end of season two was. If you’re desperately waiting for season three to see how they untangle that mess, it might be better to avoid this video. It doesn’t directly spoil anything, though it does create other questions. Questions that may or may not do damage to the questions you currently have in your brain. Oh, and a semi-NSFW warning is in effect as well, so be aware of incoming naughty words if your boss and/or co-workers are hovering nearby.
