Video: Josh Gad Tries To Get ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Scoop From Daisy Ridley
  |  @   |

Since the official title for Rian Johnson‘s Star Wars: The Last Jedi was announced earlier this week, many have been speculating whether or not the “Jedi” in the title was plural or singular. Does it mean Rey or Luke Skywalker are the last of the Jedi, or is one of them literally “The Last Jedi.” The debate will probably carry on well into the days leading up to the film’s release. You don’t really expect the film to explain the title and spoil everything in the trailer, do you?

While we speculate and try to find out answers from various members of the cast in other press events, Josh Gad had something else in mind. Using whatever pull he has as the voice of Olaf in Frozen, he decided to ask Daisy Ridley, herself, the meaning behind The Last Jedi. As you might guess, he doesn’t get the answer, but the exchange itself is quite hilarious. Check out the video below.

Gad’s video was posted on his official Instagram account. In it, we see Gad invite Ridley into his trailer under false pretenses. Gad’s important question involves the meaning of the title. He constantly grills her for an answer, but the actress would not budge. She even said that she didn’t ask him about Frozen 2. To which Gad spoiled that Olaf would be in Frozen 2.

We’ve seen cast members play coy before or say that the studio snipers are watching. But this doesn’t really change anything. In fact, it just jokes around with everyone wanting to know what the damn title means. Is it one Jedi or is it two?

Guess we’ll find out when Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
