‘Iron Fist’ Trailer: Marvel’s Title Hero Will Reclaim What Is His
  |  @   |

Before the Marvel heroes of New York City can assemble to become The Defenders, they have to introduce the title character of Iron Fist.

Netflix has just released the newest trailer for the upcoming series, which centers on Danny Rand’s (Finn Jones) return to reclaim what is rightfully his. As with all trailers, there is a bunch of new footage that lays out the simple premise of the series. Check it all out below.

In the trailer, Danny makes a miraculous return to New York after being presumed dead when his family’s plane crashed. Upon his return, he sees his family’s company fall into the evil hands of his father’s business partner, Harold Meachum (David Wenham), who had actually planned for the crash to happen. So not only will Rand reclaim what is rightfully his, but he will attempt to save his family’s company by severing all ties with a shadowy organization.

Clarie Temple (Rosario Dawson) makes a return and will recruit Iron Fist. Jessica Henwick stars as Colleen Wing, Rand’s trainer and love interest. Carrie-Anne Moss returns to reprise her role as Jeri Hogarth, the ruthless lawyer that we first saw in Jessica Jones. Wai Ching Ho also returns as Gao, a drug kingpin with mystic ties.

The Netflix and Marvel collaboration has been pretty good thus far. A lot of the time the shows run out of gas by mid-season, but they are still very entertaining. Of course, Iron Fist is the final standalone Marvel superhero series before the streaming site releases the highly anticipated ensemble The Defenders.

As we have seen, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage have their own personalities, and it looks like Iron Fist isn’t any different. But it doesn’t look like any of them will be getting along, at least based on what the cast as said. But if anyone can bring it together, it’s probably Claire.

Here’s the official premise:

Fifteen years after being presumed dead in a plane crash, Danny Rand (Finn Jones) mysteriously returns to New York City determined to reclaim his birthright and family company. However, when a long-destined enemy rises in New York, this living weapon is forced to choose between his family’s legacy and his duties as the Iron Fist. Marvel’s Iron Fist premieres March 17, 2017 exclusively on Netflix.

Netflix will release all episodes of Iron Fist on March 17.
