Following the announcement earlier this week that Game of Thrones star Alfie Allen has joined the cast of the next Predator movie, titled The Predator, comes word that Yvonne Strahovski is also joining the cast.
Strahovski played Sarah Walker in 91 episodes of the comedy series Chuck, and has also starred in Dexter, 24: Live Another Day, and The Handmaiden’s Tale. If you’re like me, however, you best know her as Miranda Lawson from the Mass Effect games.
The Predator is being directed by Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Nice Guys, Iron Man 3), who also starred in the original Predator back in 1987. Black also co-wrote the screenplay along with Fred Dekker. The two previously worked together on the screenplay for The Monster Squad, which also came out in 1987, with Dekker directing that.
Production on the movie began this week, with Black sharing an image of himself with some of the cast and confirming that it would be rated R, much to the delight of the masses.
Strahovski joins a cast that includes Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Jacob Tremblay, and the aforementioned Allen.
The Predator is currently scheduled for release on February 9, 2018.
