‘Middle-earth: Shadow Of War’: First Trailer For ‘Shadow Of Mordor’ Sequel Released

A couple of years back a new game set in the same world as J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings was released titled Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.

Now a sequel has been announced titled Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and a trailer for the game has been released. A release date has also been revealed, and it’s coming sooner than you might think. You can check out the trailer below, along with more info.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Warâ„¢ is the sequel to the critically-acclaimed Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordorâ„¢, winner of more than 50 industry awards””including the 2015 Game Developers Choice Awards’ Game of the Year, Outstanding Innovation in Gaming at the 2015 D.I.C.E. Awards and the BAFTA for Game Design. Developed by Monolith Productions, Middle-earth: Shadow of War features an original story with the return of Talion and Celebrimbor, who must go behind enemy lines to forge an army and turn all of Mordor against the Dark Lord, Sauron.

In addition to releasing the announce trailer below, it’s also been announced that our first look at gameplay will come in a week on March 8th.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War will be released on August 22nd. A regular edition and a special Gold Edition are available for pre-order now.
