‘Lost’ Alum Ken Leung Joins ‘Inhumans’ Royal Family As Karnak
  |  @   |

The cast for superhero shows have grown exponentially in the past week or so, with Fox’s untitled X-Men series adding Gotham‘s Jamie Chung as Blink, while Marvel’s Inhumans has cast Game of ThronesIwan Rheon as Maximus and Hell on WheelsAnson Mount and Graceland‘s Serinda Swan as Black Bolt and Medusa.

Now you can add one more to the Inhumans cast. According to new reports, Lost alum and Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor Ken Leung will be joining Rheon, Mount, and Swan. More on the story below.

Marvel officially announced that Leung would be playing Karnak, Black Bolt’s cousin. His special powers include finding the weakness in anything. It could be people, plans, or structures. If it’s got a weakness, Karnak can find it. But he uses his power for good as he is a staunch supporter of Black Bolt and is often seen as the royal family’s planner and philosopher.

“Ken brings both a wisdom and a power to the role that no one else could match. His Karnak will be awesome,” said executive producer Jeph Loeb.

“Ken Leung has a great natural intelligence that reads clearly and will add depth and complexity to the very complicated character of Karnak,” added executive producer and showrunner Scott Buck, who also serves as an executive producer for Iron Fist on Netflix. While all these shows are interconnected within the MCU, it remains to be seen if The Inhumans will be influenced by the events of other shows or the films.

Leung joins Rheon, who will play Maximus, devoted to the people of Attilan, especially his brother, Black Bolt, the king “” though he harbors an intense desire to wear the crown himself. Mount will play Black Bolt, the king of Attilan, whose powers include a destructive hypersonic voice, particle manipulation, and limited telepathy. Swan is Medusa who is an accomplished thief with prehensile hair.

You might also recognize Leung for his work in Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand, Saw, and most recently The Night Shift.

Roel Reiné will direct the first two episodes of Inhumans, both of which are set to air in IMAX theaters over the Labor Day weekend. The eight-episode straight-to-series drama will then head over to television broadcasting where it will air exclusively on ABC.
