This Saturday in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Gotham City Games is hosting the Brooklyn Geekfest at the Best Western Gregory Hotel. A small convention chock full of video games (old and new), comics, unique novelty items, raffles, and tournaments, this one day only extravaganza is sure to hold us geeks over until NYCC!
More below.
The idea behind Geekfest is simple. Bring a small convention to Brooklyn, and sprinkle it with some local flavor. The entry price is reasonable (cheap, even!), the stuff is quite affordable, and the list of vendors (so far) is quite interesting.
There are some big tournaments planned – Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 64, and 007 Goldeneye. You can bring your own controller or can use one of theirs, but definitely bring your gaming face!
