Check Out Brooklyn Geekfest This Saturday!
  |  @   |

This Saturday in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Gotham City Games is hosting the Brooklyn Geekfest at the Best Western Gregory Hotel. A small convention chock full of video games (old and new), comics, unique novelty items, raffles, and tournaments, this one day only extravaganza is sure to hold us geeks over until NYCC!

More below.

The idea behind Geekfest is simple. Bring a small convention to Brooklyn, and sprinkle it with some local flavor. The entry price is reasonable (cheap, even!), the stuff is quite affordable, and the list of vendors (so far) is quite interesting.

There are some big tournaments planned – Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 64, and 007 Goldeneye. You can bring your own controller or can use one of theirs, but definitely bring your gaming face!

Some of the vendors hawking their wares and services are: Tempted Ink, Long Island Retro Gaming, OneToyStop, Basso Brevis, Blockhead Gaming, Inbeon Con, and Nestalgic Bits.

The deets:

Press release:

The concept of Geek Fest 2017, is to bring a “comic-con like” convention to Brooklyn NY by using local video game retailers as the vendors where merchandise, along with admission fees are affordable. Aside from the merchandise, this gives you an opportunity to show off your incredible cosplay outfits to the public for photos and videos.

At Geek Fest 2017, vendors will be selling a vast variety of items such as:
– Video Games & Consoles (Retro to Modern)
– Comic Books and Collectibles
– Rare Trading Cards
– Funko POP Products
– Apparel & Accessories (Tshirts, Hoodies, Hats)
– Custom & Unique Art

Along with the expansive variety of items, Geek Fest will be having all day events, tournaments and raffles for great prizes.

Be sure to visit and check out all the merch, and join one of the tournaments! See you there!
