‘Phoenix Forgotten’: Trailer For UFO Found Footage Movie Produced By Ridley Scott Released

A trailer has been released for Phoenix Forgotten, a found footage flick produced by Alien and Blade Runner director Ridley Scott and his Scott Free Productions.

The movie follows a group of friends who set off to document some of the strange things happening after mysterious lights are spotted. It’s based on the real UFO sightings in the skies over Phoenix, Arizona back in 1997, known as the “Phoenix Lights.” The sightings involved two UFOs—one a massive V-shaped object moving across the sky silently, the other a set of lights which did not move—which were reported by thousands of people.

DESCRIPTION:

Based on the shocking, true events of March 13th, 1997, when several mysterious lights appeared over Phoenix, Arizona. This unprecedented and inexplicable phenomenon became known as “The Phoenix Lights”, and remains the most famous and widely viewed UFO sighting in history.

Phoenix Forgotten tells the story of three teens who went into the desert shortly after the incident, hoping to document the strange events occurring in their town. They disappeared that night, and were never seen again. Now, on the twentieth anniversary of their disappearance, unseen footage has finally been discovered, chronicling the final hours of their fateful expedition. For the first time ever, the truth will be revealed”¦

The movie is directed by Justin Barber, who also co-wrote the script with T.S. Nowlin. Starring is Florence Hartigan, Chelsea Lopez, Justin Matthews, and Luke Spencer Roberts.

Producing alongside Scott is Wes Ball, T.S. Nowlin, Mark Canton, and Courtney Solomon.

Phoenix Forgotten is set to arrive in theaters on April 21st.
