See Brand New ‘Futurama’ Footage In ‘Worlds Of Tomorrow’ Trailer
  |  @   |

If you’ve been twitching and itching at the extreme lack of new Futurama in your life these days, I have just the thing for you. Booze. Lots of booze. It helps you forget all the evil people who have repeatedly taken the show away from you while other animated series go on and on. Hell, some of those shows are old enough to drink with you.

But that’s not all (Call now and you’ll receive…). Earlier this year we found out about Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow, an upcoming mobile game. Not just any mobile game, though. The original Futurama crew helped with the game, including the voice cast. That means it’s the closest thing to new episodes we currently have to look forward to.

A teaser trailer for Worlds of Tomorrow has been released online. And yes, it features brand new animated footage and voice acting to enjoy, just like we got on the show. Check it out below!

This new footage is the first since the show ended four years ago now. Unless you count that one episode of The Simpsons a few years back.

The plan is to update the game weekly, with new stuff from the show’s writing staff. Futurama co-creator David X. Cohen says the game re-creates the show’s universe, and in it you’ll send the Planet Express crew out on missions. If all goes well, it will mean lots of new content for fans.

The only catch is that it is still a mobile game. You’ll be able to play for free, but there will be the usual microtransactions as well.

Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is expected to be released later this summer.
